We did it! Ben and I forced ourselves out of bed this morning for our long procrastinated morning walk. At 6 am too! *laughs joyfully* I haven't woken up that early for exercise in a long while - perhaps since my PMC days when a brother, KY, used to bring me to the Botanical Gardens on Saturday mornings to run. *Nolstalgic feeling* :')
At 6 plus in the morning, some of the elderly aunties would be doing tai-chi in the most random places around our area. (Ben suggested that they were worshiping the sun. You can imagine how their routine looked like.) There were also a few joggers on the streets. I was too busy cringing on the pavements to count how many. (Stray-dog poo phobic) Since, I have very bad stamina when it comes to jogging, I jogged around the Hunza Building once...and brisk-walked the rest of the time. Ben ran ahead of me. We returned home at 7am, cooled down, had our quiet-times and ate simple breakfasts. Subsequently, it was time for Ben to go to work.
I hope that our health routines will become a habit. Morning exercise in fresh air, healthy breakfasts, home-cooked food in the evenings, etc. I love spending the mornings with my hubby this way too, since work often leaves him very drained at night.
