Monday

Some weekend happenings:

First, a good friend of mine, Nellie Chee, got married to Leong Kit. It was my privilege and honor to serve during their holy matrimony at church on Saturday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Gan marching out...

Second, I don't know why... but I just felt very tired all weekend...so, I slept alot.

Third: Durian feast @ William's and Janet's place in Balik Pulau. Actually, it was more like... Durian BUFFET. William and Janet prepared different species of durians, placed each species in a clear plastic box and labeled the boxes, so that we would know what kind of durian we were tasting. I thought that was very thoughtful of them. I never knew there were so many different species of durians - with diverse flavors too. Wow!
Our CG members really enjoyed ourselves. Of course we had Bible Study after the durians. I was challenged by God's Word in Joshua 23 - to not compromise in my walk with Him. Guess what, we will be finishing our study on the Book of Joshua after ONE more chapter! Yaaaay! :) Glory to God.

Fourth: We went hiking with some of our CG members again. Matthew, Ai Choo, Sau Chan, Ben and myself. This time, I fared better. The weather was much cooler (and so, there was more oxygen at ground level, according to Ben). Although my heart was almost jumping out of my chest with the intensity of its beats (it drum-rolled in anticipation of the benches awaiting me at the top)... and I was quite breathless by the time I reached the top, I felt pretty good - coz I didn't stop much. My aim is to be able to run up the course some day - perhaps while carrying weights. (Also, I have been feeling motivated and inspired to hike up Mount Kinabalu.) To reach that cardio and muscular fitness level, I have stopped taking the elevator up to my flat for a start. It has gotten so much easier to climb up more than 7 flights of stairs recently. Praise God.
