China House

Rachel and I were at China House today for lunch.

China House comprises of 3 shop-houses linked together by a picturesque courtyard. I haven't uploaded the photos that I took yet due to some technical problems... but I hope to get them out soon. Anyway... here are some good pictures that I took from other websites. Please feel free click on the picture sources' links to read more about China House. Drop a note of appreciation to the original photographers if you can! The food is really homey and good, albeit a little pricey - but then again, the experience will be well-worth the money.
Looked kinda dodgy from the outside that we almost couldn't recognize the place. Oh not to mention, we got lost before we found China House. Picture Source

The courtyard where you can laze, enjoy a book outdoors and sunbathe if you like. Picture source

The photographer who took this picture was really creative, me thinks. Picture Source

Loved all the interior deco... gave another meaning to "vintage" for me. (I'm a sucker for vintage actually). Simple, rustic and rugged - but there was the unmistakable element of elegance. All that gorgeous wood! They used colors that I normally wouldn't use in my home - but surprisingly, the combinations worked out so well! My husband would love it here as much as I do; we love inspiring, artsy places like this as well as good interior deco. Picture Source

I do think that this was Rachel's favorite part :P No matter how much she may beg to differ. Before we ordered our main course, she was already looking so wildly excited about dessert. Picture Source

Somemore eye-candy for Rachel. We were so stuffed after our main course that we could only have the carrot cake. Picture Source
I did enjoy myself. Rachel was tremendously wonderful company. Great food, great friend, great deco and loads of chit-chat... what more could I ask for?

I hope to bring Ben here someday.
