Most of my batchmates (3rd year and above) were not even there! I was greeted by a sea of fresh, new faces. Yet to be worn out by semesters of incessant papers and assignments. X-P (Forgive me if that sounded horribly pessimistic.) Nevertheless, in a few years time, these same faces would be graced with lines of wisdom and their hearts would be even more tender for the mission of God. Hopefully. It is always such an encouragement to know that these people were called by God - and so they left their homes and came... over the seas, over the continents, across the world. Some with their families and some faraway from their families. As penniless as some may yet be - they had given up much to take the very first step, to be in the center of God's will for their lives. Not everyone has to come to the seminary of course, although it is encouraged. Not everyone who is called will set foot in this place. But I always believe that those who come, do so because they had wanted to obey God in one way or another - fears, doubts and uncertainties aside. I am thankful that each new year in MBTS brings many new paths to cross mine; many courageous missionaries whose lives form the wells from which I draw the sweet waters of inspiration; and many of God's gracious instruments to help strengthen my frail will to be obedient. Bleh...
Ah, I've missed life in the seminary indeed! :)
Anyway, I digressed. Back to station games... Pam, Kevin and I kinda freaked out at the mention of station games. Especially me. I felt like I had been trapped, after some mindless pursuit of a dangling bait. I dislike station games. In fact, I think "hate" is an understatement (even though it is strong enough a word). I've never liked station games - no matter how educational or team-spirit enhancing (or relaxing) they are meant to be. While I know of some people who find station games the most exciting part of retreats, orientation week or camps, I do not share their sentiments. Call me unsporting or whatever.... Anyway, that is for me - I have no idea what the other two have against station games. LOL! We ended up escaping like three frightened rats - scuttling out via the chapel's back door and going for breakfast. *Guilty squeak*

It was also good to catch up with Kevin and Pam. Thanks to the fox rain God sent, we had no choice but to linger around in the coffee shop a little longer than intended.
