An Exhausting, Goongkey Tuesday

School week has just begun at MBTS and I'm already exhausted.

Don't laugh at WHY I am exhausted ~ but it's mostly from trying to work with the old, upright piano in our chapel I nicknamed Goongkey.

Its name explains how it sounds when I play it. I've tried to minimize the "goong" but still, to no avail. *Wail* Apart from its great need for tuning, some of its keys yield no sound when struck. Goongkey can make me so distracted at times - but I'm trying to get used to it, bond with it, bring it to life, harness its strengths, etc. We aren't good friends yet ~ but I won't give up.

Worked with Goongkey twice today. Both times, it nearly blew my ears (and my mind) with its loud, goongkey sounds! :P I was pretty thankful that I could still worship God while I was playing it.

Oh well, the Bible said "Make a joyful noise to the Lord" - but it did not say anything about not sounding goongkey. I guess it's still permissible. Hehehe....
