One more sleep to home-coming

My last day in Singapore was spent in a simple but meaningful way.

Slept in. Relaxed the whole morning, coz my speaking assignment's over! *Yay*

Lunch at Bishan... followed by an afternoon of coffee, cake and a terrific book at the Singapore Esplanade. (Since it is my last day in Singapore, I decided to splurge on the cake.) Felt awesome.

A short snooze back home (because I was dead sleepy after my coffee, surprisingly) till Ji dragged me to the Ghim Moh canal for an evening walk after she came back from work. Had a nice heart-to-heart chat, followed by our spontaneous decision to take a train to Holland Village for dinner. In our PJ's/ exercise clothes too.

Just pretend that we were trying to make a fashion statement. I assure you that we looked great! No doubt about that.

We had Vietnamese beef pho for dinner, which I thoroughly enjoyed because of the flavorful soup - which had the right amount of saltiness in it and was slightly sour and spicy, thanks to the lime and chillies. Mmm. Perhaps a near equivalent to it would be Ben's favourite beef koay teow soup on Beach Street.

Came back home, had over-ripe-and-near-to-rotting mango for dessert and chatted to Sze Hwa.

Packed and am calling it a day soon. Tomorrow, I will meet-up with one of my covenant sisters, Laura, and her toddler (Hannah Grace) for lunch before I fly back to Penang.

Adorable little Hannah Grace (and her milk moustache)

Looking forward to going back to Penang (for once). I've rested enough. Time to work.
