The usual stuff ~ gifts, family (Ben's side), church, choir performances and Christmas dinner with the Wesley Hokkien Church people (tickets were courtesy of my beloved parents-in-law).
But a very memorable Christmas, this one.
Well, I received many presents. Wrapped and gave presents too. Watched some episodes of Korean drama with my hubby (t'was a lazy afternoon at home). Also, the Christmas service at church was our last service with Pastor Woo (who will be transferred to Kuantan Wesley) ~ sad. But the most significant part of my memorable Christmas was encountering God in my weaknesses. Like I mentioned one or two posts back, I was sick just prior to Christmas. I ended up going to see the doctor, because my self-treatment was not working! Prayed very hard that God would heal my voice before the day the choir was due to sing. God was faithful to work wonders out of the meds I took... my singing voice actually turned out OK yesterday and today, even while I still had a cough and loads of discomfort in the chest. I was so relieved that I was able to hold my notes and pitch ~ some things that I often take for granted when I'm healthy. Most importantly, my illness got me to appreciate those wonderful words we were singing about Jesus even more. Indeed... Jesus, what a beautiful name. Emmanuel. God is with us. All glory be unto the Lord who heals and sustains.
Hope you had a blessed Christmas too.
