Accountability in intercession

Today's thought (inspired by spiritual formation class):

I would like to be more accountable to those I have promised to pray for on a regular basis. For me, being accountable not only means telling the person that "I have prayed for you" or that "I am praying for you"... and full-stop. It is also being diligent in asking "What would you like me to pray about?" and "How are you doing?" It is also letting the person know if God has spoken through Scripture regarding a specific need. It is about being faithful. 

I used to be more accountable - but as the years went by, I have not been keeping things the way of my original intention. I am truly sorry for that. :)
