A tribute to the great mothers in my life

Late grandma ~ who was the wisest, kindest and most nurturing grandma that anybody could have. I miss her cooking much. I regret that my Hakka was so limited that I almost never spoke to my grandma in her heart-language. I am glad that she understood my broken Mandarin and Cantonese though. She even picked up Malay in her final years. You are amazing, popo!
Late mama, who sacrificially poured out her whole life into bringing Zoey and me up ~ we were quite the handful too. My eating disorders must have made the final years of her life very miserable. If I ever had the chance, I would ask her to forgive me. Those times I told her that I loved her now seem too few. I miss you, mama.
The music teacher with whom I remained the longest (among other music teachers), Mrs. Donna ~ who painstakingly laid all the foundations in my early music education, exposed me to performing and competitions, and encouraged me to write my own songs at a very early age. I don't remember her ever being cross ~ even though I must have been annoying at times. She was always laughing.
My wonderful mother-in-law who excels in giving and blessing me. She has been a mother to me ever since I met my husband (she always tells him not to bully me too). Super supportive of my calling, studies and ministry, she never fails to inspire me to have child-like faith in Christ ~ or to share the love of God with others. I am blessed to be your daughter-in-law, mummy!
My beautiful spiritual mom in Singapore (who is also Natalie's mom) ~ who inspires me to be a godly woman, wife, mother and friend. Words alone cannot fully express the gratitude in my heart for all those times she has counseled, blessed and encouraged me ~ especially with regard to my journey as a seminary student. Thank you, Aunty May Ling!
