Homecoming

After approximately 48 hours of plane rides, airports, rolling around the different time-zones, transits, beating sleepy spells (so that I wouldn't miss my flights) and delays... arriving safely at my final destination, Penang, was the sweetest thing. God be praised! As some of you know, I am one who delights in very long journeys. The longer the journey, the better. I am always a little reluctant to arrive at my destination when traveling. And so, this is a first - I was actually looking forward to my destination! I couldn't wait to touch down in Penang.

Seeing my parents-in-law was the next sweetest thing. They were so nice to come and pick me (and my paraphernalia of bags) up from the airport. MIL was so excited for me to know that she had cleaned my car as well as our flat. Haha. While feeling a little embarrassed, because I had left Penang without cleaning anything, I was also touched and grateful.

In no time, I was driving Caleb home.

(*Edited for those who asked me who Caleb is: Caleb is my car!)

All great holidays must come to an end. I made myself unpack (at least one bag), wash the cushion covers and put our closets in order - before I could procrastinate. That was how my great holiday concluded.

Back to the seminary on Tuesday. I am glad that it is a one-week term break for school-going children - so that I will only resume teaching piano the next week. This would afford me some much-coveted time to work on an upcoming performance, now that I am rusty and have forgotten my parts. Am not too happy with what I did the last round too.

Have a blessed week, dear people!
