Wednesday's bits and bobs

Dropped a class on Tuesday (yesterday) - which means I have the whole week off from school as well as work (since it's the school hols for the kids). Thought I would spend it reading, studying and preparing for the performance on the 17th.

I read. I studied till my eyes ached. However, I didn't do much about the performance. My fingers are just not working. I sustained a hand-cramp on Sunday while playing the piano. The keys feel listless to touch. I can't seem to connect with them and my improvisations are miserably flat. Yes, I am this uninspired. Well, I will need to work harder tomorrow - because the first rehearsal is on Friday. Sheesh, getting my knickers in a twist - this is.

Perhaps, I need an audience to "pressure" me into fruitfulness. Hardy har har. Some applause and encouragement too. Bring it on!

The week feels extra long for some reason. How mysterious it is that we have only crawled to mid-week, considering how the previous few weeks had seemed to zip past, lightning quick. I am not sure what this says about my life right now. Maybe, it's because I can't wait for Ben to be back.

Rachel and I had luncheon together - a nice, long talk over Donburi and tea.

That was the highlight of my day.
