3.7.13 ~ the day that started off with a bang

Yups. My day started off with a bang ~ literally.

Caleb
My hand-eye coordination was severely off this morning, for some mysterious reason. (Limbs weren't obeying the command of Brain too.) I crashed the side of Caleb against one of the pillars on my way out of our car-park in the morning - when I am usually stellar at doing sharp turns at that narrow corner. Ehem. The bang was so loud that the security guard came running over from the poolside to see if I was OK. My hands were shaking, but otherwise, I was quite fine. Well, I guess this means that we've got to bid some more money farewell. *Sobs* :(

After the unfortunate incident, I nearly got into another accident on the road on my way to Straits Quay. I am thanking God for His protection indeed. Also uberly thankful that my hubby was so reassuring ~ he was more concerned about me than the car. Haha.

Had brunch and spent some time with a dear friend, whom I have not been making enough time for in the past few months.
Vanessa and I
We became friends through the Sandakan/Lahad Datu mission trip in 2009 - especially because I was the English-Malay translator for her preaching in the OA village. Since then, we have kept the friendship going ~ and she has indeed encouraged and prayed for me much in the past 4 years. While we are two very different people (from two very different worlds), I am grateful that God has graced us so tremendously that we can always have such engaging conversations with one another ~ even from the very start.

Had dinner with my best friend after work. Always a good and delightful thing ~ especially after the adorable but challenging monkeys drive me up the wall. We seemed to be laughing at each other a lot today.

Love you, Rach
A great day on the whole. I know that I am stuck writing my paper ~ but still, it has been a great day.

I am taking time to appreciate God for being God.

God, thank You for Your timely affirmations today. Thank You for letting me know that You still love me, despite my atrocious flaws. I pray that You would continue to assure me from time to time - because I am prone to doubting. I am pretty cynical at times. Sad but true.

I want to love You more.
