A spontaneous lunch outing with our long-suffering Academic Dean on Monday |
Baby came as a surprise. We weren't really trying. I was working hard on graduating from the seminary. God's good plans must have surpassed our family planning.
Well then, trimester one has just ended. My obstetrician was pleased with the scan. Ben and I are extremely relieved, considering the eventful first pregnancy that was (last year). It has also been a very challenging trimester for me. I don't know how I managed to get through it. Classes, papers, ministry, morning sickness, feeling yucky, stuffing myself with food despite lacking the appetite, physical exhaustion and all... But thank God, I did! Baby's daddy-to-be has been a terrific support too - cooking, cleaning, dealing with my strange food aversions (mood swings too) and taking leave from work to bring me to the hospital for check-ups. We hope that all goes well this round.
Since the tummy is beginning to show a slight bit, I've outgrown my favourite dresses and people have asked me about it (a little embarrassed, I am).... I thought that I'd give the secret away and start blogging about my journey unto motherhood and beyond, beginning with where I am now in the pregnancy. At 14 weeks.
If you are reading this, we invite you to pray along with us.
To the fantastic few who have journeyed with me (in one way or another) through the first trimester, thank you for being so fantastic!
God be praised.

Congratulations!!!!! I wondered if you might be, based on certain things you mentioned that sounded like symptoms. This is so exciting! God's timing is amazing and this is really a new beginning for you both. Enjoy it!
Thanks, Adeline! :)
