Taste and see

Was listening to one of Israel Houghton's songs (which I've always appreciated for their artistry, rhythm, enthusiasm, and simple but meaningful phrases) - and was blown away by the impact of the words of its bridge.

"...You'll never know 'til you try.
You'll never live 'till you die to yourself
and find for yourself that He's good.
You'll never see with your eyes,
until your heart realises that He is all that you need;
taste and see...."

I want to desire God so much that I treasure His invisible presence with me in every circumstance... and thus, trust Him to be good even when nothing looks good. And perhaps, in time, I will see the bleak in a new light.
