10.1.14 ~ Friday

A few of my seminary batch-mates had lunch with Dr. S and Dr. R this afternoon to celebrate Dr. S's birthday. It was lovely to see everybody again - and as inspiring as always to sit down for a meal with Dr. S, our spiritual father. I enjoyed myself immensely!

After Dr. S and Dr. R left for the seminary, a few of us stayed back to catch up. And it was back to esoteric talk and discussing sermons/preaching strategies. Such a gloriously dull bunch, aren't we? ;)

Another reason to rejoice today : I have been recruited as a children devotional book illustrator for a missions project, and I begin my work at the seminary in February. The assignment came as a surprise - but it was also an answer to our prayers for a way to serve God following my graduation from the seminary.

I can't wait to spend my weekdays drawing at the office - and ultimately, participating the missionary work with the gifts/skills that God has blessed me with.

God be praised!
