No, I don't mean the kind of engagement that often comes with a diamond ring and the ring-bearer kneeling chivalrously - and dramatically - on one knee to pop the ultimate question.
(That has already happened 4 years back, btw. It was a nice, quiet and private affair - while I was tucking into a plate of spaghetti back home, unsuspecting.)
Rather, we are waiting for the baby's head to move down into my pelvic cavity - and thus, get into an optimal position for birth. Apparently, a first baby usually engages by 38 weeks gestation.
