MBTS 59th Graduation Day.
The pictures of this year's graduands beaming in their black gowns, capes and mortar boards have been popping up gradually on my Facebook newsfeed since the event ended. My heart rejoices for each and every one of them - my friends and comrades - but at the same time, there is a sense of dread.
I won't be seeing some of them again; perhaps until death do us meet. While such separation is theoretically (and by faith) temporary, reflecting upon its reality certainly sobers.
A graduation is a signpost towards many goodbyes. Yups, there is always Facebook and status updates - but friends still do drift apart when they no longer spend time with one another. Keeping in touch properly is always a challenge - and I will admit that I am bad at keeping in touch with too many people.
I look forward to the Day when goodbyes shall end.
