New Year

Like in every other year before, here I am, at the very beginning of 2015... feeling a little lost, uncertain and bothered. A little afraid too, I am, of the inevitable goodbyes that might have to be said very soon (first and foremost, to my best friend, who will return to Kalimantan with her missionary husband-to-be after their wedding in February); the upcoming challenges of motherhood especially with my baby's growing mobility and her graduation into toddlerhood; my changing role in missions; the failures as well as the disappointments that await. (I am like the most positive person ever.)

But...... I am also looking forward to knowing God in every season; savouring His glory and provisions in my tangled, twisted and otherwise hopeless life circumstances; hearing His answers to my prayers; experiencing His goodness and rest in my trials; growing, stretching and becoming (hopefully) a little more like the person He meant me to be.

And so... roll on, 2015. May you be the best year yet.
