Sophie turned one on Saturday. We thank God for His faithfulness to us in the year past. Goodbye babyhood and welcome toddlerhood!
(She is still a baby to me.)
We had a small, cosy family party at Lunarich @ One Precinct to celebrate her birthday. Delicious Italian food. Yoghurt cheesecake. And a symbolic candle. Sophie cried each time we applauded her. It was too funny and sweet. It was also nice to have my dad, sister, Ben's brother and his wife in Penang that weekend - Sophie was basking in all their love and affection. What a happy birthday she had!
Milestones wise, she has begun walking. She demonstrates comprehension of our conversations, instructions and routines - and would often respond with babble or self-made sign language. She also mimics sounds in her own way - from the words we speak, to the bird's call from the trees, to Duckie's high-pitched, squeaky way of talking (I'm guilty of exaggerating his squeals).
Loving you, Sophie |
