Coffee date

Public holiday. Dad was away. Mum was feeling bad that she hasn't been spending enough time with the bubs lately. And so, a date was due.

I didn't want too many distractions (and traffic congestion) this round so I avoided the mall and chose a quieter destination - a cafe nearer to my work place. Turns out that it was an excellent choice. Sophie was ecstatic about (1) the idea of a date with mummy after so long; (2) the permission to bring a friend along on our date; and (3) the cafe's location which was within the vicinity of my workplace. (She was looking forward to strolling around the complex which she strangely likes.) St. Presso's was such a cosy cafe too! We ate cheese sandwiches, drank ice chocolate (and I, coffee), read one of her favourite books, had heart-to-heart chats, and enjoyed one another's company. Sophie took very good care of our guest throughout the date. He was always comfortable - either in her arms or on a plush armchair - and never on the floor. We (I) explained to him that he was not supposed to run around the cafe or make too much noise. What a fun way to teach a little girl to be a responsible host.

My coffee and an adorable teaspoon
Another successful coffee date. (I've always dreamed of trying out new cafes with her.) I wonder where we will go next.
