Until we tried this...
Night cycling.
Since she loves riding her bicycle and we try to spend most evenings as a family, we thought... why not take her to a well-lit (not too forsaken) park or a lighted bike path after dinner? It turned out that all that fun, gentle exercise, fresh(er) air, sight-seeing, and nature observations helped her to fall asleep much faster. She didn't even request for a bedtime story tonight. Milk, prayer, some hugs and kisses, and she was out like a light.
Of course she lacks a helmet and basic safety gear. We will look into that soon.
