Updates of my week

Went to DeliCious @ Straits Quay with Rachel on Thursday... As usual we fought for the bill *sigh* (thankfully, there were no casualties - although I nearly died laughing). I don't understand why she never lets me pay when we go out. Then when I try to be sneaky, her reactions are so dramatic that I have to promise myself to never use that strategy again. (She's too smart already!) Ben even suggested that I threaten Rachel - by saying that he would not allow me to go out with her anymore, if she did not let me pay the bill. As if that would work.
Overdosed on chocolate...(to quote Tairven who said this once upon a time, "This dessert should be renamed 'Death by Chocolate'!" ~ I felt as if chocolate was running in my veins for the rest of the day.
...We also had our very intimate tête-à-tête. Seriously, what is life without "kindred spirits"? :)

The father of one of our CG members (Sau Chan) was called home to the Lord on Wednesday. We attended the wake service on Thursday night. It was really good that all our CG members could come and show our support to SC. She has been such a dear sister to us all. May God be with the family during this time and grant them joy and strength in the midst of their grief, because her father has entered his eternal rest. :')

The very next day, I went to Karai Kudi @ Hillside with my seminary mates for lunch. (No pictures, sadly.) It is a North Indian place, not too far from Tanjong Bungah's Ananda Bahwan. I actually liked KK more, coz it looked much cleaner (AB is a little too rustic for my liking somehow); the food was yummylicious too. Vanessa, Jess, Ai Hua and I stayed there chatting for a good bit and being our silly, silly selves. I treasured those moments - somehow, as missionaries, busy pastors and church workers, you can never be sure that you will see one another again that soon. While I'm so thankful that I will be able to graduate soon, I think I'll really miss the convenience seminary provides, in terms of enabling us to meet up so often and to encourage each other face-to-face. When we're all graduated and fully immersed in our respective ministries, it would be more difficult to make time. We will probably have to rely on um... Facebook. (What happened to romantic letters written in cursive hand-writing? :P)

Also, I spent my week working on my final Conflict Dynamics paper. It has been both very frustrating and fascinating at the same time. I am thankful that I understand the conflict between Saul and David much better now. I hope to pass all my CM104 papers before CG this evening.

Today, cell group is going to be held in our humble abode - for the very first time.
