Mid-autumn Festival 2011

Yesterday, I attended a wake service in the occasion of a church friend's father's passing. Didn't expect to meet so many seminary friends at the service - but I did. Was especially glad to have bumped into Wei Wenn, because God gave me some unexpected words of encouragement through her. (Actually talking to her, I also felt rather like Joseph in prison, when he was asking the Pharaoh's chief cupbearer to "...remember me and show me kindness; mention me to the Pharaoh and get me out of this prison..." - Genesis 40:14 - Haha!) It was awesome to catch up with Karen T. too, since we hardly get to do so at church.

Mid-autumn Festival this year was memorable because I cooked! And I cooked because... for the first mid-autumn festival ever, someone else's tummy, other than my own, depended on me to be filled. In the previous years, my tummy has always depended on others to be filled. Or I'd simply fill it with whatever I can find in my kitchen. This year, I was glad and thankful of the opportunity to fill somebody's tummy - and not just anybody's tummy - but the precious tummy of my precious hubby. (Sorry... even I find this SO corny...ROTFLMAO! What on earth inspired me to type this...?!?!?) Perhaps one day... when I have many more tummies to fill, I will look back fondly on today and have the blessed assurance that I have not despised my humble beginnings... :)

정말사랑 해요 readers! :) And happy mid-autumn festival!
