Lunched with Vanessa at Subway's Gurney Plaza - her belated birthday treat for me. As usual I enjoyed every bit of our time together - listening to her stories (and testimonies), sharing and praying for one another.
It has been my privilege to know her since the beginning of my schooling days at MBTS. I used to be scared stiff of her somehow, partially because she was (and still is) really bold and out-spoken. I would be surprised at the radical things she would do and say. I, on the other hand, am shy and reserved, haha. However, differences aside, our friendship grew in the Lord. I have been blessed to witness the work of God in Vanessa's life; she's changed a lot since I knew her. So much more healed and secure. Furthermore, I am excited for the great things God has in store for her; and excited I am to see her fulfilled in serving God with her life. All glory be unto God, who will bring to completion every good work He has begun in every one of His children in Christ. (Phil 1:6) It will be a beautiful story.
The hubby's dining out with one of his best buddies this evening - and so I am ordering-in pizza *licks lips*.
