Weekend over...

...and I ended up with a gastrointestinal boo-boo. I don't know - maybe it's IBS strike #1 for this year. I had two last year. They were terrible. The first strike gave us the false alarm for appendicitis. One thing I do not appreciate about being a medical school graduate is this: I am hypersensitive to symptoms. Peri-umbilical discomfort radiating to the right iliac fossa is RED ALERT for appendicitis!

This time, I had dizziness, headache, fever, chills, intermittent joint pains, epigastric pain, flatulence and nausea. If it wasn't for Ben having similar symptoms as I did last week (his was due to indigestion and perhaps a little food poisoning), I would have hankered after a dengue serology test or something. Today I'm much better, after a lot of tender, loving care from my husband. I was even OK to drive out to eat lunch and buy a loaf of bread. My appetite is awry; eating a big meal would cause me to be nauseous. I hope to be well tomorrow.

Anyway, I've got to start preparing my sermon for 1st March. 10 more days to go.

I remember the first time I did a presentation before Dr. Lawson and the rest of my class, it was on my 1st Corinthians 8-10 contextualization project, which I chose to do on how Christian musicians in the general performing arts scene should be culturally/audience/genre relevant and yet not compromise on their Christian convictions. The presentation was right before my wedding weekend too! This time, I have to preach in front of Dr. Lawson - and I am so nervous. *Gulp*

I am wondering whether or not to do all my upcoming sermons on the area of worship and music. Perhaps I should.
