In SINGAPORE...

Yaaaaay! x)
But of course I'm missing HOME and my HUBBY.
I had a smooth flight, thank God. So blessed that my hubby took a little time off from work, late afternoon, to drop me at the air-port and give me that parting kiss too. :) Was so terribly hungry on the plane (having had an early lunch) that I ended up eating a small pack of cheezels and 2 mini sticks of Time-Out Chocolate. Read a while, revised some music theory (for the sake of a job I'm taking up soon), slept a while... and soon, it was time for the plane to land. Changi Airport looked so welcoming ~ gave me a good "homecoming" welcome, it did ~ but I thought of the many people who have worked really hard to make Changi the Changi we know and deeply appreciated their efforts. Made me reflect on my role as a wife to Ben. I don't think I work hard enough; home isn't always nice, tidy and clean as it should be. But I ought to work harder, if I want my hubby and our children to always feel welcome and comfortable whenever they come home or whenever they think of home. Work isn't a good enough an excuse to neglect this aspect of being wife.

Going through the Singapore immigration upon touch-down at the Changi Airport, I was so amused at the sight of at least ten Korean ahjummas (all with similar, short, curly hair-styles) huddled in a group, chatting excitedly to one another while lining up with their passports. Felt a silly smile tug at the corner of my lips as I counted the number of ahjummas with short, curly hair. Self-entertainment.

I had to pull my face straight when one of them, ahjummas, caught my eye.

Ah, their unforgettable hair. Who knows, I might have same hairstyle myself when I'm their age. My girl-friends too. (Do you hear that?) Then some other girl would be staring at us, trying not to laugh.

My usual hosts, Ji and Sze Hwa, have moved to a new place. While I miss staying on the 40th floor and having the Commonwealth MRT Station just a 2-minute-walk away, this place is not bad too. I'm so looking forward to check out the market, hawker food centers, shops and that awesome canal nearby. We had pan mee and soybean jelly at one hawker food center. So, so good! Indeed, these are stuff that I'd rarely eat on my own - I'm not a big fan of hawker food (yesterday was my first time eating lunch alone at a hawk but when it's a recommendation, I will almost always try it. Especially if my hubby or a good friend brings me there.

Will definitely try to figure out how to get to the MRT station tomorrow morning. (Ji showed me the way, while we were chatting nineteen to the dozen about other unrelated stuff, so excited we were to see one another again - and so, I kinda lost my sense of direction. Oops. While she kept telling me that it's, "Go straight, go straight, just go straight..." I remember that we kept turning right-ish. Hmm.)

What shall I do tomorrow? RETREAT!
