Faithfulness...

... is tested only when there is attraction toward unfaithfulness...

...when the idea of not persevering seems most attractive and sometimes, right...

...when I throw my tantrums, whine, whimper, sulk and yell, "I wanna run away!"

I've been reflecting on the hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness" for some weeks now - partially because that's precisely the song Ellen and I will be presenting for Ai Hua's wedding. This hymn talks about God's long-suffering faithfulness, whereby "...there is no shadow of turning with Thee", "Thou changest not..." and "Thy compassions, they fail not..."

Let God's own faithfulness be the benchmark, the standard against which my faithfulness is compared.
