KL-bound!

Counting down the hours before I see my family again! Wheeeeee!!!

The real purpose of this KL-weekend-trip is to attend a wedding. Two of my Every Nation Dublin/RCSI friends are tying the knot. David and Yvonne.

Yvonne happens to be my ex-housemate back in Dublin. We stayed together right from the beginning - till I left for Penang. Since Yv took an extra pre-med year and I didn't (because I did GCE A-levels prior to entering med school), she stayed an extra year in Dublin after I left. Three splendid years of sharing house-chores, midnight chats, cramming for exams in our living room, eating comfort food during the cold winters, influencing one another, eating one another's cooking, laughing at one another, sleepovers in each other's rooms, etc. Along with Cynthia Lye of course! God also divinely appointed Yvonne to be the first person I discipled in Dublin... we still meet up every now and then back here in Penang (although I could always do better in my following up with her!) We taught each other very important lessons on life - and so she is a very important friend to me. Yups, as you can imagine, I'm truly excited for her.

As for David, he was our senior back in RCSI - he accepted Christ and began attending our EN services. He was in my cell group... and since the Malaysians were very close to one another while we were far away from home, he was a very close brother. He and Yvonne have been in a long-distance relationship for close to 7 years I think (it can be a little complicated when doctors date doctors; and even more complicated when both doctors do not work in the same country). Or has it been 8 years? How amazing is that!? :)

Can't wait to see my awesome EN Dublin friends again. Ben met up with his Dundee CF friends last month. It's my turn to meet up with my old pals this round!

I won't be blogging this weekend, but I'll be back on Monday.
