11.11.2012

Watched Skyfall with Ben today. I liked the movie, especially because Daniel Craig brought out the very real, imperfect, human side of James Bond. Somehow, those tears, wounds, moans and groans, etc made Bond more manly than if he had been portrayed as perfect and unruffled. Attractive kind of manly. =)

Anyway... apart from watching Skyfall, today was quite a special day.

First, it was my father-in-law's birthday. We called him first thing in the morning (he and MIL were in KL to attend Ben's cousin's wedding) to wish him. With much laughter and thanksgiving.

It was also the first anniversary of my graduation ~ with an MA in Christian studies. 11.11.11. My sister, Zoey, was in Penang to celebrate with me and attend the conferring ceremony along with Ben and my in-laws. My dear pastor (Pst. Woo) and his wife were also present at the ceremony ~ they were very loving and kind to give me a wonderful gift of a NASB study Bible. It was the day on which I knew for sure that I was to continue working on my M.Div. And I have.

Third, we've begun cooking in our tiny kitchen this evening. Ben made us a simple but good dinner. He washed up after he was done too.

Last but not least, it was a day I made an important discovery (or rather, it was God-given insight concerning my life and marriage) - about which I shall share another day. God has indeed been faithful to provide and answer prayers. For now, I shall document just this, pray and wait.

A busy week lies ahead. May I prayerfully live it to the fullest and honor God in everything I do. Have a great week ahead, people.
