Stuck somewhere else now

...this time, it's in my Luke 18:35-43 exegetical paper - the deadline of which is next Friday.

The clock is ticking, the days seem to be swooping past like an eagle/owl after its prey - and I am still in the first section, like a stubborn donkey wallowing in mud. I really need divine intervention.

I am a person who struggles with hard beginnings - whether in life or in any assignment. Even when inspired or full of ideas, I struggle to get things moving, the first few steps of the climb being especially torturous and akin to whipping myself all over. I don't know why. Blame it on my perfectionist nature, maybe? Partially. I tend to not feel like moving on when my beginnings are less than expected. I love to restart... but I am trying to let go. May God have mercy on me. Or perhaps, I am just obtuse. May God yet have mercy on me.

Anyway... some things to be thankful about from yesterday:

1. Two of my private students progressed to a new (and harder) book and are not finding their new positions too bad after all. Praise God! (And I am the very relieved teacher. Transitions to new books can be sometimes a little stressful for me as well as the student.) So glad that the students are practising so diligently too - weekly lessons are much more effective when students come prepared.

2. My hubby cooked me an awesome-pawsome dinner while I was at work yesterday evening.

Stir-fried beansprouts and Japanese curry chicken

Your hubby's beansprouts inspired me to get beansprouts for dinner tonight. Yummy!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
