In the middle of the night

Heavenly Father, I love You.

Thank You for being there with me ~ and being there for me ~ even when I am bitter, insecure and sulky. Thank You for always reassuring me of Your love for me, through Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for listening to me when I finally decide to call out to You. Your grace and mercy never cease to amaze me. Your long-suffering compassion humbles me.

And thank You for reminding me tonight... of the power of Your children's prayers. Keep reminding me, Lord. I am prone to forgetting. Help me to delight in those moments when I can fully pour out my heart to You... I want to savour them to the fullest. From them, may I also draw the peace that surpasses all understanding ~ that would guard my heart and mind in Christ ~ that would grant me the sleep You give to Your beloved.

You are awesome, God! 

And Christ, our Lord, is alive indeed. In His mighty name I pray, amen.
