Pass it on

Yesterday, a dear brother (who hails from the other side of the island) happened to be on my side of the island for a lunch appointment and a personal errand.

He informed me of his coming one day prior. After giving me the impression that he would try his best to avoid me like plague (perplexing), he still dropped by my work cafe the next day to see if he could (and I cite him) "stalk" me for a few minutes. Seeing that I was not there (yet), he was probably going to leave when I arrived in the nick of time.

Yes, I was very surprised. And happy. And touched.

That simple act, which he must have thought fun, meant a lot to me. It is nice to be thought of and remembered when you think about your faraway friends so very often and are not sure if they ever think of you back.

Living on the south is challenging for me that way. Thank God, He yet makes it bearable.

Anyway, having been blessed and warmed, I decided to bless and warm the cockles of someone else's heart today.
