Came across this qualification for deacons today, while I was reading 1 Tim 3:
"Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things."
While husbands are responsible to manage their households and lead their wives well, I am reminded that irresponsible and non-submissive wives too jeopardize their husbands' qualification and eligibility for church leadership. O God, always help and remind me!
