The hubs and I decided to make Valentines' Day a little more fun for ourselves this year by going out for dinner. (Today also happens to be our 9th marriage monthsary!) Prior to this year's Valentines' Day, we have never done anything much on V-Day because we believe that every day should be spent loving others/each other and celebrating God's love. We randomly reserved a table for ourselves at Hidden Recipe, in Sg. Dua this afternoon - and laughed at our extremely random selection. Hubby happened to think of it (we've driven past this place several times) and I immediately called in to make reservations. Food was surprisingly quite good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back there to try other stuff on the menu!
Anyway, here are some pictures...
The hubs surprised me with a bouquet of flowers - which was really a surprise, because I didn't expect to get any flowers! We usually don't do the flowers' thingy - coz it is much more practical to give and receive things that we can use... I'm not a girl who wants flowers all the time too. But still, it was a pleasant surprise to receive the bouquet. One lily among 6 sweet-smelling roses. Ben says that he will add one lily to the bouquet every 10 years.
Our Valentines' Day adjourned with... BEN WONG trimming my fringe back home (coz I begged him to), me folding clothes, him having some quiet time... and finally, us having a long conversation over butter cookies and milk before bedtime. Lovely.
